Rooted in the sacred work of unbecoming bias and faithfully becoming more interculturally competent, Rev. Annettra Jones brings a unique combination of spiritual depth, lived experience, and professional training as a Qualified Administrator (QA) of the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®). Through customized coaching, assessments, and workshops, she guides individuals and teams to engage in intentional, transformative intercultural growth.
Rev. Annettra Jones, the lead consultant of Faithfully Becoming is a certified Qualified Administrator of the IDI® since 2021 and has administered over 175 assessments to individuals representing churches, nonprofit organizations, and denominational leadership. She pioneered the use of IDI within the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church, embedding it as a required part of onboarding for all new hires—impacting leaders across committees that serve over 750 churches.
She holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Louisville Seminary, a Diversity & Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University, is certified by IDI LLC as a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory and in the Intercultural Conflict Style Inventory. Her work spans local, regional, and national platforms, including leading jurisdictional anti-racism initiatives, keynoting conferences, and presenting beloved community models based on her BIG I.D.E.A. framework: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism, rooted in God’s call for justice.
Rev. Annettra integrates Wesleyan theology’s belief in sanctifying grace—“going on to perfection”—with womanist ethics that affirm we heal in and for community. She believes intercultural work is not just strategy; it’s sacred work. Her conviction is clear: when we become aware of our bias, we begin to heal. And when individuals heal, communities heal.
